We’re excited to announce our upcoming group import of Japanese Ricefish (Medaka), scheduled to arrive in the U.S. in early May 2025. This is a great opportunity to access high-quality medaka directly from trusted breeders in Japan.

At SNR MEDAKA USA, we personally travel to Japan to hand-pick healthy fish and handle all logistics ourselves—no middlemen involved. With multiple successful imports under our belt, we’ve developed a smooth, secure, and reliable process that we’re confident in.

📌 Please note: The photos are for reference only. Every fish is hand-selected in person, and many customers have said that the fish they received were even more beautiful than expected!

💡 Note: We don’t import every fish listed on the website. We only import the specific strains that participants request through the interest form—so be sure to let us know what you want!

📝 How It Works

1️⃣ Please sign up by April 5, 2025 at 6 PM EST using the form below:

2️⃣ Between now and April 11, we will review your submission and send you a personalized quotation via email, which includes:

  • Fish price
  • International shipping cost (shared)
  • Domestic shipping estimate (based on your location)

3️⃣ If you’d like to proceed after reviewing the quote, simply reply to confirm.
We will then generate and send your invoice (50% of the total cost) by email.

  • First payment is due by Friday, April 12, 2025 at 6 PM EST.
  • ⚠️ Once the invoice is generated, no changes or cancellations can be made to your order.
    This is because we will have already placed the order with the breeder on your behalf.
    Please double-check your selections before confirming your submission.

4️⃣ In early May, once the fish arrive in the U.S.:

  • We will take photos of the actual fish you ordered
  • You will receive a second invoice for the remaining balance, which must be paid within 24 hours

5️⃣ All fish will go through a 1-week quarantine to ensure health and safety.

  • After quarantine, we will ship your order
  • Tracking information will be emailed to you once your package is on the way

⚠️ In Case of Changes or Issues

As we are working with live animals, there is always a small chance of unexpected issues. If anything changes or problems arise during the process, we’ll contact you right away to keep you informed.

If the strain you selected becomes unavailable, we will offer you two options:

  1. A full refund to your original payment method
  2. A chance to select an alternative strain

While we strive for accuracy, 100% availability cannot be guaranteed—but your satisfaction is our priority.

💳 Payment

Invoices will be sent via email. We accept all major credit cards for secure and convenient payment.

🐟 Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)

We stand behind the health of every fish we import. In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), you must email us a clear video of the fish inside the sealed bag within 2 hours of the carrier’s delivery timestamp.
