How your fish get to you, and what domestic shipping costs. Shipping is part of your order total and the 50% deposit.
Domestic shipping rates
We ship live fish by UPS 2nd Day Air only. The rate depends on how many pairs are in your order (the $3 packing fee is already included).

🌺 Shipping to Hawaii? We charge a flat $60.00 estimate at checkout. The real Hawaii rate varies by box, so we reconcile it afterward — you get a partial refund if it comes in lower, or a small extra charge if it's higher.
Prefer local pickup?
Local pickup is free. If you're nearby, choose “Local pickup” when you reserve and we'll skip domestic shipping entirely.
The pickup time and place must be arranged with us in advance — we'll reach out to coordinate after you reserve.
Good to know
- We ship live fish by UPS 2nd Day Air only. We do not use USPS, and we do not offer 3 Day (too risky for live fish) or Overnight (too expensive) for group import.
- The rate already includes a $3 packing fee — insulation, styrofoam box, and materials.
- Domestic shipping is part of your order total, and the 50% deposit is calculated on it too (fish + international shipping + domestic shipping).
- The regular web store's free shipping over $500 does NOT apply to group import. Every group import order pays its shipping tier.
- Hawaii: shipping is charged as a flat $60 estimate at checkout. Because the real Hawaii rate varies by box, we reconcile it afterward — you'll get a partial refund if it comes in lower, or a small extra charge if it's higher.
- Local pickup is free, but the time and place must be arranged with us in advance. Choose "Local pickup" when you reserve.
- You must be available to receive live-fish shipments. See the FAQ for our DOA (Dead on Arrival) policy.
