Bought from us at a show? Here’s how we support you—DOA, acclimation, and quick help.
We respond fast—email or DM with your order details and a short video if there’s any issue.
Health & Care
All fish are pre-quarantined and packed for safe transport. The same care standards we use for online orders apply to show purchases.
Transport & Acclimation
- Head home promptly; avoid hot/cold cars.
- Use aged, dechlorinated water and acclimate slowly.
- Keep the bag sealed until the tank/tub is ready.

If You Experience a Loss
If a fish is deceased when you get home, contact us the same day with two short videos:
- Video 1: Inside the sealed bag
- Video 2: After removing the fish from the bag
This mirrors our shipped-order policy (which uses carrier timestamps). For show purchases, we assess with same-day evidence.
We’ll review quickly and work on a fair solution. Shipping is non-refundable; once the bag is opened, ongoing issues are outside DOA coverage.

Quick Answers
Is the DOA policy different at conferences?
Practically the same. For shipped orders we require video within 2 hours of carrier delivery; for show purchases, please send same-day videos (sealed bag + out-of-bag) once you arrive home.
What if I can’t send video until the next day?
Please still contact us the same day to open a case. We’ll advise what to record and how to proceed.
Can I buy more of the same strain after the show?
Yes—order online or ask us to check current availability. We can ship later via UPS.
First 48 Hours
- Good aeration; avoid strong current for stressed fish.
- Light feeding; monitor ammonia and temperature.
- Provide shade/hides in outdoor tubs; avoid sudden temp swings.
