Aurora Yellow Lamé Medaka (オーロラ黄ラメメダカ)
Sparkling uniqueness rooted in Aurora heritage. Created in 2021 by Jyourakuan (静楽庵), this strain blends yellow–orange tones, translucent aurora scales, and scattered lamé—each fish showing its own personality under light.
Visual Highlights
Under sunlight or strong LEDs, translucent aurora scales glow and body tones shift from yellow toward orange or even vermilion. The lamé concentrates along the dorsal area, creating a floating sparkle effect.
- Yellow → orange-red gradient with light-driven shifts
- Semi-transparent aurora scales with luminous depth
- Scattered lamé focused on the back and upper body
- Pink to orange facial glow, especially under direct light
Why This Strain Matters
This strain embraces variation over uniformity. Each individual balances lamé, transparency, and warm pigments differently, giving collectors a diverse, ever-changing display that rewards close observation.
Maintaining Line Quality
Selection should prioritize the aurora trait with clear blue lamé. Keep fish that show a distinct blue lamé band along the dorsal line with clean yellow–orange body color and layered transparency. Without this selective process, the line can easily drift toward muddier tones and lose its brilliance.
Brief History
First created in 2021 by Jyourakuan (静楽庵), the Aurora Yellow Lamé Medaka was developed as a refined offshoot of the Aurora Lamé line, tracing back to Miyuki (幹之). Compared with Yozakura, it offers greater individuality and shifting light effects, reflecting a modern “depth-first” breeding philosophy.
